basics of writing critical essays. Students will read material, discuss it in
class, and then write a response. After the essay is reviewed by the
instructor, the students will write 2nd and maybe 3rd

also cover methods of preparing to write as well as editing techniques.
2.
Writing: Drama: Students
will study plays from either contemporary and/or classical theater. The plays
will be discussed and read in class, after which time students will write
critical essays about the play(s). Students will also learn how writing for the

inequalities. Students will learn to evaluate exponential terms, perform
operations with simple and complex polynomials, and apply Distributive Law and
the Order of Operations to polynomials.

serve as a model for the review of key scientific foundations across fields
while providing a rich array of topics for students to choose from as they
design and conduct an experiment. Students will be supported in carrying out
the scientific method in marine biology, water chemistry, or physical
oceanography. The workshop will conclude with a presentation of the results.
